John Gruber on the Bond references surrounding Vesper

Bond’s gadgets have always been at the intersection of utility and elegance. Serve a necessary purpose, reliably, and look good doing it. That’s as good a motto for a software company as any.

I can appreciate post-rationalization of good ideas as much as anyone. But that’s a nice little soundbite he’s crafted there.

I’m trying to decide if having a really well designed notes app without features would be helpful or not. It might be nice to have a place to put unimportant things that I might need to find later without fiddling with settings and syncing folders or exporting.
